almost in our new house

Hi everyone,
I am very excited tomorrow or Saturday we will be officially moved into our new house. I hope that everone had a blessed Thanksgiving. I know my family and I did. We spent the majority of the morning putting the finishing touches on the house and also decorating the house for Christmas. This has been our family tradition since we were little because our family never wanted to get together with us. So we put up our Christmas lights and spend time together as a family. In the evening it snowed while we were at the new house. It was fun to look out the bedroom window and see the streets and the roofs of the houses covered in white from the snow. The temperature here is 20 degrees. Instead of cooking this year some of us went over to our pastors house and had the dinner there. Then we came home and set up the house some more.
I hope that everyone is doing well,
God bless you,
Marlene Steed

Hello friends and family,
I am soooo excited we are making progress on our new house and we will probably be moving in some time next week. My dad has been working hard with the two jeffs painting the room the colors that we wanted them. Sometime within the next couple of days he is going to stain the cupboard in the kitchen. My mom said that she is very excited about this. Today we are getting new flooring for the bathrooms, and on Friday they will put the new carpet in. After the carpet has been put in we are going to start moving some of our things into the house and putting them where they belong. On Sunday some of our friends are going to help us move some of the big things that we can't because it is too heavy or we don't have a truck. We are looking forward to decorating the house and our bedrooms. I was telling my mom the other day I guess that this means that we are offical coloradoians now. She laughed and said yep!!! This weekend I am going to be taking pictures of what my room looks like. As soon as I do I will post them for all of you to see.
I hope that everyone is doing well,
Take care,
God bless,
Marlene

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to write everyone and tell them what I am doing and how my church is. First of all I am helping Amy with the boys, and I also go to the shop and clear data off of phones, help serve customers, and answers the phones. Once a week I fill baggies with candies so that my mom has them to hand out when she goes marketing. One of the neat things about my job is that I get to learn how to be a wife, and a mother someday. I am now cooking all the meals and bring is to the shop. My church is a small one so there is no college group. to answer your question about friends I have not made any personal friends yet. A month ago we as a family got baptized. So now we are memebers of High country baptist church. Now that we are members I am helping in the nursery. We are getting to know a lot of the families there they have even offered to help us take some of the things that we have in storage and the shop and bring it to the house. I am very excited about the new house. I hope that I did not bore anybody with too many details.
God bless everyone,
Marlene

Today in the morning my dad went with two of our guy friends over to the new house to start getting it ready to paint. A little bit later I went over and took off the switch plates, covered the electrical part with tape so that the paint will not get on it. I also stripped off some of the wall paper. As I was working I was looking out the back window and there are a lot of tree in the back yard.I could see the birds playing in the trees, and there were also squirrels playing in the backyard. My mom said that as soon as we move in we are going to put bird feeders and feeders for the squirrels also. I feel so blessed that the Lord has given up this house, and I am looking forward to seeing what He does with the house. Right now that back yard is covered with snow, because it snowed yesterday. Here is a picture of Paul playing with one of his favorite toys. In case you can't tell it is a spinner that you put on top of the tower and you press the button on the side of the tower and when you let go of the button it flies in the air and lands somewhere. Paul enjoys playing with this and will do it several times before he gets tired of it.

God bless everyone,

Marlene

Paul and I golfing on family day.
Hi friends and family,
This is my new blog. enjoy!!! I really, really, really, enjoy being a auntie. Paul and Peter are a joy to be around. It is great to be a part of their lives and to see them grow up. It is really neat to see the different stages that they go through. In case you haven't heard we now our offical owners of a house. My room is of course pink. For those of you who don't know pink is my favorite color. So I think that it is neat that it happened to have a pink room. After we paint it and decorate I will post some pictures. In the mean time here are some pictures of me and the boys that I hope that you enjoy.
Take care,
God bless,
